As a WASP who attended Princeton and U of Chicago, but also knows something about boxing, I can assure you that Romney's rude interruptions (TWICE!) speak even more loudly than the fact that his "Have you forgotten about 9/11?" remark had zero to do with Ron Paul's statement:
1) Even New YOAHHHKah Rudy waited until Ron finished his statement and THEN jumped in (like a kid who could just barely wait to go to the bathroom) and attacked him in SC. Alleged WASP, alleged Mo Mormon, alleged BYU graduate and alleged Hahvahd B-School and Law School Graduate Romney couldn't even hold it in, even in front of a Midwestern audience. In fact, if Rudy had done it, they'd have probably thought, "well, he's one of those PUSHY OBNOXIOUS New Yorkers" but they have no excuse for Romney, so he really hurt himself.
2) The question, then, is WHY he'd have done a stunt like that? CLEARLY it's because he's desperate, CLEARLY it's because he isn't anywhere NEAR 26% and Ron Paul isn't anywhere near as LOW as 2%. This is where boxing comes in handy. I can assure you that an Evander Holyfield would never NEED to sock someone in the groin and risk getting disqualified against a fighter if Holyfield were the top of the rankings and his opponent were next to bottom as Paul is alleged to be. A good boxer would only sock a GOOD boxer in the groin because he might lose the fight to the OTHER good boxer. Mitt may win Iowa, but Ron Paul is no way in next to last position, and Mitt tipped his hand and gave the ultimate 'tell' in doing what he did.
