Irwin Schiff Update + Born Again American

Irwin called me yesterday. He said he got to see the doctor and had an x-ray and nothing was broken. Irwin says it could have caused the onset of arthritis because his back is still killing him but he thinks it's a little better than it was.

 

He said he got a letter from Cindy and was glad to hear from her. Apparently she had sent him many letters, but since he was on the road going back and forth to Vegas court, all of her letters were returned to her. (Why can't they just hold the mail?) Would it be too much work? Or do they do it just to be mean?

 

He repeated that he is appealing Dawson's decision on the sanctions (extra prison time) and that his latest motion or response (I forget which) was supposed to be posted on his web site, but I can't find it. www.paynoincometax.com

 

I told him it was ludicrous to even think he was going to get a different decision from the same group of robes that put him where he is in the first place. I asked him, who are they going to rule for? You or their brothers of the bar? It's a no-brainer. Yet he persists. He also said he has his new book ready to be published (all about the judiciary), so we can look forward to that and I'll let you know when it becomes available.
