Wikileaks Requests Support Now
Date: Tue, 24 Feb 2009 16:59:43 +0000 (GMT)
From: Wikileaks Press Office
<press-office[at]wikileaks.org>
Subject: [WIKILEAKS] Wikileaks letter
The Sunshine Press (Wikileaks) is in a dire financial position.
We need your letter of support.
Although we expect to receive some $2M in funding later this year, there has been no formal funding since last year.
This organization's positive world impact has never been higher, but it is, as a consequence, also more expensive run and ran out of formal funding four months ago. Since that time our staff and lawyers have funded the entire organization from their modest personal savings and anyone else they can find to assist.
The reason that impartial, revelatory investigative journalism has been traditionally funded by readers is that governments and billionaires alike will not support groups which are tasked to expose and reform them.
Despite being universally recognized as being the most important stimulus of democratic reforms, government funding for such organizations is non-existent. At the same time organizations which are guaranteed to have no domestic political impact are well funded.
On-line donations, an important buttress to our ability to take on all governments and companies with total independence, have amounted to around $10,000 since the beginning of the year. Costs outside of court actions are almost $400,000 per year.
Our $2M funding injection later this year will support a radical expansion of our mission. Until then, your support, and that of your friends and colleagues, will mean the difference between continuing to fight the good fight and shutting down.
If you support our work or have benefited from our cause, please write a strong letter of recommendation we can to present to additional funding bodies. You may examine our front page or google news for ideas.
Also consider an easy on-line donation; every contribution, no matter how small, will directly extend the number of months and days we can continue taking on the world:
Send support letters to wl-supporters[at]sunshinepress.org
Thank you.

Dogs and Obama Dog
Hey dog! Dogs seem to be all the rage in the world of today, at least in my world. Yeah, there has been the recent acquisition of a toy poodle now called by the name of "noodles". Cute name huh? I did not think much of dogs but this little pup is cute. I can't say that I am into cleaning up after the little creature as it was not my decision to get this little oodle of noodles. We will leave that up to the expert shoppers. If you shop you should take care to look after your purchases and be responsible thereby. Speaking of dogs. Have you heard of the Obama Dog? It has been the talk of many dog aficionados worldwide. Of course, by all means, check out the hyperlink in this blog post for more juicy information and talk about the lastest to-be addition to the Obama family. I wonder who are the lucky pooper scoopers. The creature did not look so cute from the pictures I have seen. I wonder if it is going to be a barker? I like quiet dogs the best. How about you? Noodles from what I have seen is a very quiet dog and like I said really cute. Well let's see how cute the new national pooch is going to be and if it will be the talk of America shall we?

Thirty states have expressed their sovereignty
Thirty states have expressed their sovereignty, when 34 (2/3) make the move,
we can dissolve the federal government as we know it. When the remaining states
find out that Hillary promised the right of “Eminent Domain” to the Chinese in
return for more money, they will all claim sovereignty. Maybe, she even promised
the right to sleep with all newly wed brides on the night of their weddings.

Want to help this process along or maybe get your state to participate? Please do!!!! Check out this page of info/links:

FOXNews, please stop!
themackoviak.wordpress.com — Alright here ’s the deal, every morning while I’m at work I’m forced to undergo 15-20 minutes of “Fox & Friends” while I’m eating breakfast at work. I have no control over it other than to not eat breakfast, which considering the discomfort my brain endures, probably would be better for my health.

Guiliani
Cow Palace on March 24th to protest that traitor Rudy Guiliani speaking at the following event
http://www.getmotivated.com/
There are radio ads where Guiliani is promoting this.
Banners, an effective turnout could override this event and get some
media coverage. Put Guliani on the defensive where he belongs.

50+ Organizing Centers - March on Wall Street Momentum Growing - What you can do to help
Donate | Download BOPM Working Paper
On the Anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s Martyrdom
Rise up against wars of colonial conquest Fight for the right of all to a job or an income
Momentum is growing for the April 3 & 4
National March on Wall
Street. There are now more than 50 organizing centers nationally,
including Charlotte, North Carolina; Detroit, Michigan; Celevelend,
Ohio; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Boston, Massachusetts; Baltimore,
Maryland; and dozens more, including 25 organizing centers in the
New York/New Jersey region. (for an updated list of organizing
centers, see http://www.bailoutpeople.org/
It is becoming clear that the stimulus packages and bail out proposals
coming from Wall Street and Washington won't even make a dent in the
growing number of layoffs and foreclosures. Working people must
organize independently to demand a bail out for the people, not the
banks. It's time to march on Wall Street!
The stock markets are crashing, the world economy is headed into a
depression, and the U.S. government and its top bankers are giving
trillions of dollars to bailout the richest 1 percent of the people
while doing nothing to rescue ordinary working and poor people.
Bail Out People Not Banks; End war and Occupation from Afghanistan
to Iraq and Palestine!
We must stand up and say no to this injustice! Now is the time to
act.
Organizers across the country have endorsed the call and are mobilizing
in their communities to build the March on Wall Street, distributing
leaflets and posters, having local organizing meetings, and planning
transportation to New York for April 3 & 4. If you haven't yet
gotten involved with building this important event, here's how you can
help:
1) Become a local organizer -
join the growing list of 50+ organizing centers across the country.
Local organizing centers are helping to distribute leaflets, posters
and stickers, getting the word out to their local networks, and
organizing buses, vans, or cars to NYC for the March on Wall Street.
Go to http://www.bailoutpeople.org/
2) Endorse - and help gather
endorsements. If you haven't endorsed yet, go to http://www.bailoutpeople.org/
3) Donate to help with organizing
expenses. Please consider making a donation to help with printing
outreach materials, preparing banners and placards, sound equipment for
the March and Rally, and with organizing transportation. You can
donate online at http://bailoutpeople.org/
4) Help get the word out online - look
