Imagine a judicial candidate that is so far to the left that even Obama's Chief of Staff, Rahm Emmanuel, is hesitant to push him forward.

 

Imagine a liberal law professor that not only fails to meet the ABA's basic requirements for a federal judge, but is so green behind the ears that it appears the only reason he is being nominated to the federal courts is because he served as part of President Obama's transition team.

 

If you can imagine such a leftist candidate, then you would be thinking of Goodwin Liu, the President's recent nominee for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

 

Liu is the Associate Dean and Professor of Law at the ultra-left UC Berkeley School of Law.  Only 39 years old, he comes nowhere near fulfilling the ABA's standards for a judge.

 

But what he lacks in experience, he makes up for in radical liberalism.  In a recent book that he co-authored, Liu says that, "Applications of constitutional text and principles must be open to adaptation and change... as the conditions and norms of our society become ever more distant from those of the Founding generation."

 

Got it?  Like many radical progressives, Liu believes that our rights are constantly evolving.  The Second Amendment might have been necessary in the 1700s, he believes, but now those rights are no longer necessary. 

 

In Liu's world, there would be no gun rights

 

Noted author David Kopel cites a law journal article of Liu's where he criticizes the Supreme Court for declaring two gun control laws as unconstitutional -- the Brady Law's unfunded mandate and the Gun-Free School Zones Act. 

 

Liu said that Supreme Court cases like these did "damage" to civil rights and "upset settled understandings of congressional power."  What?!  Striking down gun control laws does damage to civil rights?  Well, let's be clear:  the Court did upset someone's "settled" understanding of things, but it was the LIBERAL'S misunderstanding of the Constitution.

 

By the way, Liu co-authored the 2002 law journal article with then-Senator Hillary Clinton... which should tell us all we need to know about Liu's liberal, anti-gun views!

 

Rights evolve over time?

 

The bottom line is that Liu would not be a stickler for the Constitution if he were to sit on the appellate court.

 

"It becomes pretty clear why 'originalism' and 'strict construction' don't make a lot of sense," Liu said in an interview promoting his book. "The Framers deliberately chose... broad words so they would be adaptable to new challenges over time."

 

No wonder that the ranking Republican member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Jeff Sessions (R-AL), spoke out so forcefully against the nomination of Goodwin Liu:

 

I am very disappointed by President Obama's nomination of Professor Goodwin Liu to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.... 

 

Instead of nominating an individual who has demonstrated an impartial commitment to following the Constitution and the rule of law, President Obama has selected someone far outside the mainstream of American jurisprudence.  Professor Liu believes that judges should look to "evolving norms and social understandings" in interpreting the Constitution, he has a history of advocating for racial preferences, and he served on the Board of the directors of the ACLU.

Dear Senator:

 

I oppose the nomination of Goodwin Liu, the President's recent nominee for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

 

Liu is an anti-gun, radical leftist who doesn't even meet the ABA's basic requirements for a federal judge, as he has neither practiced law for 12 years, nor has he any experience as a trial lawyer.

 

Liu believes that our rights are constantly evolving... which is why I'm very concerned about his Second Amendment views.  He co-authored a law journal article in 2002 with then-Senator Hillary Clinton, wherein he criticizes the Supreme Court for declaring two gun control laws as unconstitutional -- the Brady Law's unfunded mandate and the Gun-Free School Zones Act. 

 

Leftists like Liu think our gun rights might have been necessary in the 1700s, but are no longer necessary today.  I agree with Senator Jeff Sessions' critique of Liu, as the latter mistakenly thinks that judges should look to "evolving norms and social understandings" in interpreting the Constitution.

 

I vehemently oppose this view and hope you will vote against any nominee who doesn't stand strong on the Bill of Rights.

As example, Florida Statutes state that members of the militia are “Law Enforcement Officers” - Florida Statute 790.001(8); and Florida Statute 790.51, states that militiamen are exempt from all licensing and penal provisions of Chapter 790; especially, if said militiaman is an officer or a minuteman. To be to the contrary, would be hindrance to performance and carrying out of duties.

A minuteman is required to be armed at all times, and is not subject to search or detainment. Furthermore, all Law Enforcement Officers are required to assist him in the furtherance of his duties during state of emergency. Corrupt government bureacRats would have us to believe that it is the other way around.

It should be noted that militias are military, not para-military. Uniformed corporate Law Enforcers are para-military. Too, several states have various division of the state militia within the descriptions in their laws. Usually, National Guard, State Guard (or something to that effect), and militia members not subject to the call of the President of the United States. Militia members, who are not subject to the call of the President, are those, who have not sworn an oath to uphold the Constitution. Think about that, and that is LAW!

Dear Juan,

This is getting to be like a bad movie.

You know the ones where the villain, dead and buried more times than you can count, somehow mysteriously reappears in a place you don’t expect him?

Well, here comes... a new fight over a biometric national ID card -- and if you don’t have the card, you can’t work.

Right now, freedom-stealing statists Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), banding together with other statists from both parties, are scheming to sneak a massive power grab into a new “immigration reform” bill.

This bill is a statist’s dream -- “amnesty” for illegal immigrants and a biometric ID card for virtually everyone else.

That’s right. Instead of controlling the border and enforcing the rule of law, these statists want to control you.

That’s why it’s vital you sign the petitions to your Congressman and Senators IMMEDIATELY.

You see, a National ID scheme -- complete with biometric tracking technology -- is embedded in the new “Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill” being pushed by Senators Graham and Schumer, as well as other Big Government members from both parties.

And if passed, the “Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill” would require a new National ID card that would:

*** Include biometric identification information, such as fingerprints, retinal scans or scans of veins on the back of hands. Depending on the technology used, the ID card could easily be used as a tracking device;

*** Be required for all U.S. workers regardless of place of birth, and make it illegal for anyone to hold a job in the United States who doesn't obtain the ID card;

*** Require all employers to purchase an “ID scanner” to verify the ID cards with the federal government. Every time any citizen applies for a job, the government would know -- and you can bet it’s only a matter of time until “ID scans” will be required to make even routine purchases, as well.

Of course, the most dangerous part of the bill is the biometric tracking technology which would allow federal bureaucrats to track our every move.

Allowing our government to have this much “prying power” in our lives will ultimately result in the TOTAL loss of freedom.

This is exactly the type of battle that often decides whether a country remains free, or continues down a slide toward tyranny.

Government goon squads with all our personal information – information they do not need and constitutionally should not have – is a recipe for disaster for our nation.

You see, once “well-meaning” government bureaucrats know exactly how we live our lives, it won’t be long until they try to run them.

In fact, it will only be a matter of time until they spend their workdays making sure you and I don’t go anywhere we “shouldn’t,” buy anything we “shouldn’t,” read anything we “shouldn’t,” eat anything we “shouldn’t” or smoke anything we “shouldn’t.”

You see, this fight isn’t really about immigration.
Whatever you think of that fight, it’s simply being used as cover.

If there is good news in this fight, thanks to the help of grassroots citizens like you, it’s that we’ve been able to render the Big Government politicians’ REAL ID nearly toothless in more than two dozen states.

Now, the statists are growing nervous.

They know Americans are FED UP with their mad rush to take over our health care system, expand Federal Reserve power and regulate and control every aspect of our lives.

We’re FED UP with trillion dollar deficits.

We’re SICK AND TIRED of radical schemes like Cap and Tax.

We’re done with their out of control spending on foreign affairs and nation building all over the globe.

They also see that our anger is producing results. Many of their schemes are failing.

Rallies are growing in strength. Candidates are rising up in state after state to say “Enough!”

So the statists are trying a bipartisan “backdoor” scheme to impose more control on American citizens.

They’re hoping that after months of Big Media mouthpieces decrying the “poisonous and partisan politics” in Washington, the American people will jump for joy at the sight of a Democrat from liberal New York and a Republican from conservative South Carolina “working together to solve our immigration mess.”

Well, you and I know better.

After all, liberty activists can hardly find two Senators with bigger vendettas against the liberty movement than Senator Chuck Schumer and Senator Lindsey Graham.

Senator Graham himself has very publicly denounced the limited government R3VOLUTION launched by Dr. Ron Paul.
He’s stated that we’re not welcome in HIS party.

And now, he’s proving why the one who should not be welcome in any party that values freedom is LINDSEY GRAHAM.

That’s why it’s up to you and me to FIGHT back.

Unfortunately, the only way to DEFEAT a new National ID card is to contact Americans from coast-to-coast and explain EXACTLY what’s at stake.

They’re not going to get the real story from the media. It’s up to you and me to reach them.

Already, I’ve prepared email blasts, blog posts and other internet activities to alert liberty-loving Americans to the National ID scheme included in the new “Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill.”

But that’s not all. Campaign for Liberty staff tells me if I pull out all the stops, there’s an additional twelve million folks I can reach through our mail and phone programs.

And finally, if I can raise the resources, I’d also like to run hard-hitting newspaper, radio and TV ads in New York and South Carolina, explaining to the citizens of those states exactly what Senators Schumer and Graham are up to.

Juan, with all the battles we’ve faced over the past several months to save AUDIT THE FED and stop ObamaCare, I simply don’t have the resources to do everything.

You see, this isn’t a fight we can afford to lose.

Assaulted by police - waiting for justice: Mexican authorities are trying to brush police violence under the rug. Keep the heat on. Ensure justice for the women of Atenco.

Dear Juan,

When the women left their homes that May morning in 2006, they never imagined the horrific experience that awaited them.

In San Salvador Atenco, they encountered masses of police cracking down on protests by a local peasant organization. Two people were killed, including a 14-year-old boy. Even bystanders faced beatings, house raids, and indiscriminate detentions. Of the hundreds detained, at least 45 were women.

On the way to prison, in a state police vehicle, many of the women were beaten, raped, and sexually assaulted by police officers who had arrested them.

More than two dozen of the women recounted being sexually assaulted. But the prison's medical staff ignored their claims and merely stitched up their most obvious head wounds, conducting no forensic exams.

Almost four years later, these women still wait for justice.

The police officers' appalling crimes have been exposed. Help Amnesty pressure Mexican officials to prosecute the real criminals.

In a particularly cruel twist, many of the women arrested at Atenco were charged with crimes such as ''blocking public roads.'' They even served prison time, with the last of the women released in 2008.

The Atenco abuse investigation is now in the hands of Mexico state authorities. Amnesty International is calling on them to bring the officers to justice and provide reparations to survivors and their families.

Please help Amnesty fight for the women of Atenco. They have endured horrific crimes and deserve justice now. Your tax-deductible gift will help us protect their human rights.

Four Attachments.

I find it absolutely astounding upon reading this Indictment that "weapons of mass destruction" from 18 U.S.C. § 2332a(c)(2) includes any destructive devise as defined in Section 921 of this title which would render a realistic defense extremely hampered. 

This is a clear and concise INDICTMENT of the Department of Defense, the military folks such as General Schwarzkoph, General Colin Powell and others such as the criminals above them as found in 18 U.S.C. 2332a (c)(2)(D) to release radiation or radioactivity at a level dangerous to human life.  Duh?  The DoJ, Generals, and other criminals have been murdering the military, their families, causing untold deformed babies to be born including being born dead, contaminating Iraq into a nuclear wasteland with the deformed children being born approaching 1 of every 2 in Iraq by knowingly using DEPLETED URANIUM.

Where are those INDICTMENTS?  Who are the REAL Criminals here?

Do we have DUAL standard - you think?  We can murder and torture Americans but don't even think thoughts of defense.  Don't know of the conspiracy and more - not enough facts.

In the Militia Indictment is found, to wit:

18 U.S.C. § 2332a(c)(2)

(c) Definitions.--For purposes of this section--

(2) the term “weapon of mass destruction” means--

     (A) any destructive device as defined in section 921 of this title;
 

(B) any weapon that is designed or intended to cause death or serious bodily injury through the release, dissemination, or impact of toxic or poisonous chemicals, or their precursors;

(C) any weapon involving a biological agent, toxin, or vector (as those terms are defined in section 178 of this title); or

(D) any weapon that is designed to release radiation or radioactivity at a level dangerous to human life; and

I need go no further, but the Docket Sheet, the Indictment, 18 U.S.C. § 2332a and 18 U.S.C. § 921 are attached.  You can read it yourself, but when the coup d'etat government and its Generals levy war by the use of DEPLETED URANIUM (18 U.S.C. § 2332a(c)(1)(D) to knowingly murder thousands and torture hundreds of thousands more of our own military, their families, their children born and unborn and contaminates countries into eternity as nuclear wastelands including some of these United States and foreign countries such as Iraq and its people and children born and unborn, I don't get the point of this Indictment.  Sorry, no cigar.

These Militia are extremely small potatoes not worthy of the effort.

Thank you friends.  Do you know, it is funny, frigging weird actually, but you mention this word `Mystic' and I can only guess at what goes through peoples minds when they hear it. What is it they are imagining? What do they think mystics are?  I have no idea as to who ever created the words Mysticism and Mystic, but I wish they never had. I read somewhere once that the two most written about things ever were Chess and Mysticism. I don't know if it is true but there sure are a lot of books written on Chess and there sure are a lot of books written on Mysticism.

 

I have made many analogies of life by way using chess. But one I never mentioned, and which correlates well with both chess and mysticism as that in chess you find books written for all levels of players. There are thousands of books written for folks who have never ever played it, and they are good, anyone can teach themselves from scratch from them. I did when I was seven and could hardly read.  Then there are those which I can pick up and wonder what the fuck this person is talking about because it is all way over my head. They are no good to me. But they are for somebody. Same too with how to use computers. Do you remember when they first came out and there were all those `Computers for Dummies' books. They were the ones I read :- )  Same as maths books. Maths was never my thing, the brain was not built for it :- ) Yet some people take to it like a Duck to water. And so it goes. Same with cooking and gardening. Oh yeah, and spelling :- ) But if there were a race to gardening ability with one million runners in that race then I would come last. No problem, somebody has got to come last :- )

 

Now, imagine that nobody had ever invented the words Mystic and Mysticism ( or gnosis) then what words would I have used to talk of this event?  I think I would have used the words `Touching Base'. Basism.  It fits. Science uses the words Fundamental Forces (with reference to physics) and that is what they are – Basic forces. Basic Elements, and then you get the Basic colours etc. The Transcendent Introverted Mystical Experience IS BASIC Existence. It is SO SIMPLE. Basic stuff of BEING. It does not even know anything and cannot do anything. It cannot even THINK. Tell people these things and they go nuts. Because a mystic is supposed to be some `Higher mode of Existence. It isn't, it is lower. It is Primordial, Basic Cognition. And yet it is SO important, and so important to know. We are MADE of it. It is what we are before evolution sets forth and the Becoming Process kicks in. It is not some kind of high and mighty all powerful god.  No, it is ME, it is you. It is not some magic powerful tea pot in the sky phenomenon, it is just the raw stuff of BEING. It is Religion that has fucked all this up. They have all created a monster. A monster that does not exist other than in their imagination.

 

I said that it does not know anything. It does not know anything like you and I do out here. Out here I know thousands of things, if not millions of things. But that level of conscious existence does not. I have told what it knows, what it has gnosis of, and I told it well, AS IS. Who the hell else has ever done that?  It is like a gas-bag of Love, Passion, Understanding. It is like an orgasm of WOW !  Why don't religions tell of this? Why don't they describe it? Bloody obvious why isn't it. They don't know it. Why don't Philosophers and Academics talk of this and describe it? Bloody obvious isn't it. They don't know it. None of them KNOW what they ARE.

 

Now, what is so weird and way-out about knowing what one is?  Should we NOT know what we are? Does it make sense not to know what we are? Is it helpful not to know what we are?  Is it a wise and wonderful thing not to know what we are?  Is there anything more BASIC than knowing what we are? Hence my chosen word – Psychognosis. Knowing ones SELF. Knowing what one IS. It is SO simple. And knowing what one is IS the Perennial Understanding, for it never goes away, it is always there. It is the basic stuff of Life and Being. Going back there IS Touching Base – HOME. The Basic I AM. It has no personality (ego), no memories, no ability to think or reason. I have described it all well in the book. It is not up there and out there, it is in here and down there. BASIC. Ground of Being stuff.

 

And yet, the `magic bit'. Go there  for a couple of hours GMT and then come back here again with it (the second coming) and one can see through people, it is weird. One can cut through their bullshit and pretence like a knife cutting through soft butter. How come?  I don't really know, but you just can. It is not a case of being clever and smart it is a case of being oh so simple.  Its is like the analogy in chess. They try to make all these weird and wonderful reasons for how a grandmaster seeing a really good and deep move. It is not clever, they just SEE IT. It is SIMPLE.

 

Same too with the daily life of a mystic, it is so simple and so basic. There is nothing complicated about it. You wake up and find the world all around you, so you get up do what you have got to do, and few of the things that you like doing (if you get time), and then you go back to bed again. How simple can it get? Who makes life complicated? Not me.  What is more simple than sitting under a tree in the sun with a beer and a fag watching things around you and saying hello to anyone that walks past. THAT IS IT. That is what being a mystic IS. Simple.

 

But you are doing that and some guy walks past and asks you what Jesus or the Buddha would think of you having a beer and a fag. Or screwing that fair maiden in the fields of gold. So you say who the fuck is Jesus and the Buddha mate, I never met those geezers. So they tell you all about these guys. :- )))))))))  And they call me crazy??????  They call me weird? And they are happy when you are no longer on the God Prize Award ????  Oh man oh man oh man, who are the crazy ones. You figure it.

 

Anyway, I like Merlin better than Mystic. I like beer better than Champaign. I like a home rolled fag better than a factory made one. I like a good woman in a field better than looking at pictures of it. For that is REAL. Here today is life on earth my love. GRAB IT and live it. It is not complicated.

 

Have a nice day friends, for it will never come back again. Nothing made in time will last for ever; but it is great that they do pas this way for a while.  How is it done? I have not got a clue. But it IS done, and I am here to watch it. And it has been an amazing trip for seventy long years. GREAT STUFF.  Thanks.
