The People Asked If Would Like To Help USSC Eminent Domain Ruling's Lost Liberty Hotel Project

July 10, 2005: The Lost Liberty Hotel Project

The Supreme Court ruled that city governments should be allowed to take private property from one person and give it to a developer. So we decided that 34 Cilley Hill Road in Weare, New Hampshire would be a nice place to build The Lost Liberty Hotel. Why is this location essential? It is the home of David Souter, one of the Justices that voted in favor of this decision.

Would you like to help us?

YES, I want to help

Project update....

We seek a hotel development company or large homebuilder to lead this project. Our current thinking is to build a small hotel for people to get away from it all and relax in the countryside (while they plot peaceful ways to help America regain its freedom). If your company is interested please put "BUILDER" in the subject line and e-mail us. Freestar has received hundreds of e-mails from people who want to finance the construction and thousands more from people who want to reserve rooms after it's built. Now we just need an experienced construction company to make it happen.

However, the Town still has to seize the land and transfer it to a developer before construction can start. The good news—if the Board of Selectmen does not vote to do this there are other ways it could happen. Freestar has received word that several citizens in Weare are drafting ballot initiatives to this end.

If you would like to help this project, funds are urgently needed right now to hire staff in order to work on the many tasks involved and to respond to the nearly 5,500 e-mail and several hundred voicemail that we have received. Many of these are from supporters offering money, talent or time. Others are requests from the media for interviews . The problem is that we don't have enough staff respond to all these people. Click here to help us hire staff by purchasing advertising which you can use for your own business or donate to charity.

In a few days we will send out an eNewsletter to update you on our progress.

Learn the current status of the project, read about the "Room-Fit-For-Host Prize" and submit your suggestions for the restaurant menu.

What does Freestar stand for?

The Hotel Lost Liberty project has gained the support of everyone from conservatives and liberals to libertarians and objectivists. Freestar itself is powered by the Objectivist philosophy outlined in Ayn Rand's ground-breaking novel Atlas Shrugged. The ideas that Ayn Rand outlined are essential to prevent America from plunging deeper into the dark pit of statism. Better yet these ideas could ignite a second renaissance in the world at large. This would be a world marked by maximum freedom, unbelievable economic prosperity and remarkable scientific advancement. However, a better world is possible only if it is built on a proper philosophic foundation. This is what is currently lacking.

The below presentations (hosted by other organizations) explain the principles powering Freestar:

"Lost Liberty Hotel" Proposed on Justice Souter's Land

On Monday June 27, Freestar Media, LLC informed the Towne of Weare, New Hampshire that it wants to begin the permit process to build a hotel on the land owned by Justice David H. Souter. Justice Souter's vote in the "Kelo vs. City of New London" decision allows city governments to take land from one private owner and give it to another if the government will generate greater tax revenue or other economic benefits when the land is developed by the new owner. Read Freestar's fax to the City of Weare here. Read Freestar's press release here. If you want to help us move forward with this project click here. Please be aware that this is a real project and if we receive sufficent funds and approvals we will build a hotel.

Reality Television That Could Change History

The underdog versus the overlord, principle versus power, freedom versus force....

Who needs fiction? Real stories are all around us—from individuals standing up against dictatorships to people fighting out-of-control local governments that steal freedoms, homes and wealth. These are the stories Freestar covers. Our viewers determine how they end. It's interactive, reality TV where the outcome could change history. Perhaps our viewers will help topple a dictatorship, abolish a law or save someone's home.

Internet videos > Movie > Weekly TV show

Freestar's ultimate goal is to produce a weekly television newsmagazine syndicated across North America and around the world. Our intermediate goal is to make a feature length movie for theatrical distribution showcasing the most deadly and destructive force on the planet: abusive governments. Until we locate investors for the movie and TV series Freestar will make Internet (viral) videos. Your company can advertise on one of the below videos for only $4,000. Steven's Creek Porsche sponsored "Monkey Beats Social Security" (see their ad at the end) but the other five videos need sponsors. Contact us to advertise on one of the below videos or sponsor us to cover a new topic that fits within our our topic. Your advertising could help Freestar become "the infrastructure for a freedom revolution."

Internet videos

If you have a high speed connection click once on the below video to play.

If you have a slow (dial-up) Internet connection click here.

If neither works click here to get the video from a back-up site.

Please be patient, it may take several minutes to start.

That would be great if that hotel were really built.
