Bush/Cheney Launch 11th-Hour Assault on Greater Yellowstone Wolves

It’s an awful Halloween surprise.

Earlier this week, the Bush/Cheney Administration launched another attack on wolves in Greater Yellowstone and the Northern Rockies -- re-packaging a proposal that could lead to the killing of as many as 1,000 of America’s most important and iconic animals.

Take action now. Tell the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service that our wolves deserve a lasting future in Greater Yellowstone and the Northern Rockies.

Following several bloody months of wolf killing in Wyoming, Idaho and Montana, a federal court ruled earlier this year against an earlier version of the Administration’s proposal to remove Endangered Species Act protections for the region’s wolves. In response, the Bush/Cheney Administration actually withdrew that proposal just a few weeks ago.

But with the clock winding down on the Bush/Administration, federal officials are launching a last-ditch attempt to re-package and ram through a plan that could lead to the slaughter of as many as two-thirds of the Greater Yellowstone and Northern Rockies wolf population.

Don’t let them get away with it. Urge federal officials to come up with a responsible management plan that ensures a lasting future for these majestic animals.

Time and time again, Defenders of Wildlife has been at the forefront of efforts to save wolves in Greater Yellowstone and the Northern Rockies, fighting -- and winning -- in court, on the ground and in Congress to ensure responsible, balanced management of our wolves.

In the last two years, caring people like you have sent tens of thousands of messages, made thousands of calls, and donated to help us fight the Bush/Cheney Administration and their allies in court, educate the public and support wolf-saving efforts in the field.

Help us safeguard wolves. Take action now.

Unfortunately, we don’t have much time to stop this audacious 11th-hour sneak attack on our wolves. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is only accepting public comments until November 28th, so please take action now.

For the Wild Ones,

Rodger Schlickeisen, President Signature
Rodger Schlickeisen
Defenders of Wildlife

P.S. Over the next month, we need to generate thousands of public comments on this outrageous plan. We need to mobilize conservation activists to show up at public meetings and speak out. And we have to prepare for what could be another long, difficult legal fight ahead.

To meet these goals in such a short time and protect wolves in Greater Yellowstone and the Northern Rockies, we’re going to need your help. Please consider making an emergency donation of $30 or whatever you can afford today to our Greater Yellowstone Wolf Defense Fund, and your tax-deductible contribution will help support these and other vital efforts to save wolves and other wildlife.

Sneak Attack on Wolves

Two Wolves (Photo: Corel)

Even as America prepares to select a new president, the Bush/Cheney Administration has launched a new eleventh-hour assault on vital protections for wolves.

Speak Out for Wolves

Stop the sneak attack! Urge the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to protect wolves in Greater Yellowstone and the Northern Rockies.

I voted for Ron Paul, Here's why

Dear friends in the US and around the world, You may be interested to know that yesterday I sent my absentee ballot in which I voted for Ron Paul, not John McCain or Barack Obama.

Here's why:

Bush and Cheney are 9th cousins once removed, and Obama is 11th cousin to Bush. Dick Cheney and Obama are 8th cousins according to Lynne Cheney, Dick Cheney's wife.

Barack Obama stated that his wife Michelle Obama serves as his proxy on the CFR Chicago board.

This above statement flashes by in an instant, so if you blink, you could easily miss it. I had to replay that portion of the YouTube numerous times in order to be able to type out the sentence that I have here for you to read easily in this Email message.

2008 Election will be cancelled:

Also, I am including an attachment for the Americans who are registered to vote amongst you, because I never received the ballot from Massachusetts, so had to obtain a generic ballot from the American embassy here where I am. So I could not vote out my congressman because the ballot on which I had to vote has no provision to vote for congress. If your congressman/woman voted to pass the bailout bill, he/she perpetuated the TREASON that the congress committed in December 1913 when it passed that unconstitutional legislation. Thomas Jefferson in fact feared a central bank more than he feared standing armies and that is what the Federal Reserve Bank is, a CENTRAL BANK, owned by the richest men on the planet.

If you don't want to open up the attachment, then you will find the same information on my blog for the date of October 19, 2008 as that is where I posted it initially. It is at

For all of you who live in other countries, I am sending this to you in case you know people who live in the USA, because this election is more important than any other election in my country's history. Obama wants Americans to pay the UN tax; if you have been reading my work, you will know that the UN was not established to achieve peace. It was established to obtain the One World Government. See the proof of this in my 17th edition.

In case you feel that my vote was wasted, reconsider, because I refuse to be part of something that will destroy my country, and both Obama and McCain will do that because they both belong to the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), and that organization seeks the One World Government, not sovereignty for the USA (or any other country either) which protects you as a citizen of the greatest country on the face of the earth until certain forces co-opted the government including most of the congress to destroy it.

Please forward this Email to as many people as you possibly can.

Please also ask for a paper ballot. It was proved in 2004 that the computers are able to be manipulated, and that is just what they did in Ohio.

If you want to be removed from my Address book, just ask and I will be delighted to do so, because if you don't wish to know the truth, who am I to force it on you? But you deserve what you get as someone said rather recently in something that I read.

Update on Campaign for Liberty!!

As this 2008 campaign election season comes to a close, we must start now looking to the future of our movement.

I hope to see you all at Smokey Bones on Tuesday.  We'll end off that chapter together and get ready for our new beginning!!  Please RSVP for that, OK?

Congressman Ron Paul has a few supporters that have taken the step of running for congress. Now we must start planning for a full-fledged effort for 2010. Smart professional campaign advisers recommend starting a run for office AT LEAST 2 years before the election date. Don't believe all the public announcements like "I'm sounding out support." Behind the scenes pieces of the puzzle are being put into place LONG before any public announcement is made.

Fortunately we have a new weapon of mass instruction that is being built right now. It's called  Sure, maybe you've gone there to catch the latest news. Maybe you've even signed up for email notifications. But one thing I know you haven't done is ACTUALLY SIGNED UP FOR MEMBERS ONLY ACCESS!

Let's take a little walk over there. First, open another window in your Internet browser
. Second, cut and paste into that new window (if you don't know how to do this, skip it and follow these instructions). Third, click on the blue box labeled 'GET INVOLVED.' Then fill in the contact information.

Why is this new members only area necessary? Because Dr. Ron Paul realizes how hard it is to get people elected to Congress! We simply must have an organized and secure way to contact members. You'll then be joining many other Ron Paul supporters that comprise Congressional District 8 which spans sections of THREE COUNTIES! See, we're following Dr. Paul's plan to lay out our organization to accomplish a goal! Instead of thinking of disjointed cities and counties--think smart--look ahead to the 2010 congressional campaign.

Now you have another decision to make. Are you going to just go along for the ride, and join at the 'FREE' level? This is fine if you just want to be kept aware of what's going on behind the scenes and be 'in the loop.' No harm there, and we'd love to have you. But maybe you have, umm, A LITTLE FIRE INSIDE YOU!! Maybe you actually bleed red, white, and blue--yearning to see liberty restored to America starting with the US Congress.

For you firebrands, we've got a little extra ammunition. Is it free too? Nope. You're gonna have to hand over 35 Federal Reserve Notes for entrance into this part of the site. Now you'll have access to all sorts of data about your neighborhood. You'll know who are the people that are interested in civil liberties, who are the people that like their Second Amendment Rights, who is politically active & how often do they vote. In short you're going to have access to the inside dope that only political pro's do. You're going to be able to click and start a rEVOLution!

Even if you don't use all the amazing stuff that is coming through the site, you'll know that you are personally helping set up the premier site for Ron Paul activists. Heck for this be glad that Dr. Paul doesn't ask for 35 SILVER  dollars. Now that would be tough--current market price of these once commonly circulated coins is $257.44. How's that for inflation?? Take the offer guys: 'cause we all know how much Congressman Paul believes in gold and silver;-)

Please don't put this off. I'm committed to making this new site THE preeminent hub to WIN in 2010! I promise that this will rock the political establishment to it's core. Sign up and make Ron Paul's Manifesto our battle cry! Here's the direct link https://www. php

Why limited liability for usurers is a mistake

Why limited liability for usurers is a mistake

To most people, stock corporations represent capitalism. We're told that it's the "smart" way to profit. Invest your surplus money tokens, collectively, and over time, receive back your "interest" (dividends). Inevitably, someone trots out a scathing indictment of corporate disregard for the person or property of another. Then they link that indictment as their proof that capitalism is inherently evil, and that the replacement for capitalism, socialism (or communism) is the right solution.

Wrong solution for the wrong problem

If that was only true... but the facts are quite the opposite.

CAPITALISM - An economic system in which the means of production, distribution and exchange are privately owned and operated for private profit. WEBSTER'S DICTIONARY

PRIVATE PROPERTY - "As protected from being taken for public uses, is such property as belongs absolutely to an individual, and of which he has the exclusive right of disposition. Property of a specific, fixed and tangible nature, capable of being in possession and transmitted to another, such as houses, lands, and chattels." - - - Black's Law dictionary, sixth ed., p.1217

If you concatenate capitalism with private property, you can see the "inconvenient truth".

Capitalism is an economic system in which the means of production, distribution and exchange are absolutely owned by individuals and operated for their individual profit. There is nothing in that definition that includes qualified ownership of a limited liability enterprise engaged in usury.

The real problem is usury

Usury is based on an abominable scam to deprive owners of their property. If anything, usury is anathema to capitalism and the owners of private property. Based on the cruel fact that the aggregate total sum of outstanding debt (principle and interest) exceeds the total sum of available money tokens, a proportion of debtors must default, simply because there is no possible way to discharge their obligation. The usurer, knowing that the game is rigged, insists on "collateral", a pledge of something of equal or greater value than the outstanding debt. When the expected proportion of debtors default, the usurer exercises his evil power. The usurer confiscates the pledged property, using the awesome force of government to protect him from the wrath of its victim.

That is but one way limited liability usury inflicts injury to individuals, and to society, as a whole.

The corporation (or artificial person) created as a means by which investors in usury can be spared the legal responsibility for injuries inflicted during the pursuit of gain is but another abomination. Not only do usurers escape their moral obligation to offer compensation for injuries they indirectly inflict for profit, they often profit more from the deliberate injury to others. In case after case, when a corporation faces an adverse judgment, the artificial entity suddenly dissolves in bankruptcy, and the assets are mysteriously absent, leaving the plaintiffs without any recourse. Where did those assets go? To the pockets of those usurers who had organized the "person", goeth the money, no doubt.

But another facet of the corruption by usurers via international corporations, is the redefinition of expectation.

For example, investors pool their moneys into limited liability corporations for the express purpose of receiving more than what they invested. But remember that the finite money token system has no mathematically sound way to proportionally increase in step. Therefore, investors are placing an expectation that their enterprise battle for a larger and larger share of money tokens than what they put into the marketplace.

From casual examination, it would appear that "strong" profitable corporations prosper while "weak" unprofitable corporations are pushed over the edge. But that's not what really happens. The economic warriors of limited liability are not concerned with prosperity - the creation and exchange of surplus goods and services. Their focus is on a return on investment - dividends - by what ever means, fair or foul.

That's how a corporation's upper management excuses a salary that is equivalent to the hiring of 100's or 1000's of productive laborers. The game is not the creation of MORE goods and services, but the acquisition of more money tokens.

(If we use $50k as a "good salary" for a skilled and productive worker, each million paid to corporate officers offsets the hiring and production of 20 workers. And no amount of "magic" can make that officer outproduce those displaced workers.)

More often than not, the "official salary" hides the fact that stock options amount to millions of incentives to boost stock price via a healthy dividend. Reuben Mark, CEO of Colgate-Palmolive, received a remuneration total of $148.0 million (2004). His compensation offset the hiring and productive output of 2960 "skilled" workers. Multiply that offset throughout society, and you can see the dire results. It's no surprise that many businesses resort to hiring undocumented aliens, who are "off the books", and do not incur overhead charges (such as socialism inflicts). American businesses are strained to the limit, trying to carve their sliver of the economic pie beset with usurers.

See the problem?

Civilization is not enriched by the acquisition of money tokens. Civilization is enriched by the increased goods and services available. The evils of usury and its ally, socialism, force millions into underpaid occupations, whose very existence is mandated by the voracious appetite for gain at another's pain. Such flawed thinking drove out local manufacturers, and congregated production into the most "profitable" *(by the measure of usury) locations and populations, no matter how distant they are from their markets.

And though the specific goods and services appeared to be "cheaper", the actual overhead costs, i.e., financing, were prodigious, to say the least. Thus the workers feel exploited, the customers are ashamed, and the usurers escape all blame for their warped greed.

Thus we see corporations and private enterprise as a whole, run on the flawed goal of "making more money". No new money is being made, but a larger cut of the finite pie IS being taken.

Now, who suffers the most from unrestrained usury? Those who have no protection - those who aren't exempt from liability, nor the cost of paying for the errors of corporations. But the whole society is harmed by the enforced scarcity and deprivation that usury inflicts.

As long as money is scarce, credit is in demand. The usurer has eager customers. As long as money is scarce, investors will demand higher profits without regard for the consequences. As long as usurers define what is and what is not part of the marketplace, by virtue of their investing strategies, mankind is deprived of diversity and satisfaction. As long as producers are powerless from the depredations of predators and parasites, hard working people will be penalized, while the drones are rewarded for their destructive actions. And the usurers will dictate the behavior of the servant government, which will not be pleasant for the debtor.

Case in point - American housing industry. The interaction of usury, socialism, and greed have created an institution that constructs marketable (sales driven) housing at minimum standards. Not only that, but the housing is wasteful of resources to operate and maintain. Worst of all, this housing is a drain upon the working lifetime of the debtor who buys the overpriced structure. Each "solution" imposes another costly skim, either for the benefit of usurers or their protectors in government.

Despite the mass production tools available, new housing conforms to carefully dictated categories - custom "new" homes (stylish and extravagant) but sadly lacking in energy efficiency, "Tract" housing, built from a common set of plans, again lacking in frugality or energy efficiency, and the remnant of "public funded" housing for the poor. And we all know how well that solution fared. The many federally funded housing projects decayed into slums faster than expected.

The consequence of such usury driven thinking is more and more underperforming shelter, that requires a disproportionate amount of one's labor to pay for, repair and maintain. Not only that, but many private owners are prevented from utilizing their property as they see fit, thanks to the layers of bureaucracy and regulation "for the good of the neighborhood". (Trans. artificially inflated values that enrich the usurers and tax collectors)

In contrast, one can find many examples in Europe and Asia, of shelter that has endured many hundreds of years, with only modest costs in labor or materials to maintain. It's no surprise that such areas often have a pace of life that is not driven by the whip of usury. (The "rat race" is one of the by products of excessive infestation of parasites.)

As the international financial community ratchets up the usury scam, we should see a wholesale shift in emphasis, displayed in the mass media. There will be more and more urgings to "invest" and add more money tokens to the pool, where the sharks can feed with glee. And as the speculation bubble begins to reach critical, those who "followed the leader" will suddenly be left with nothing. So the trick is to observe what the "smart folks" are doing with their excess money tokens to gauge the situation.

For example, millionaire estates are one of the biggest booms in Florida, a state notoriously protective of its socialist cadre of parasites (retirees). Since one's "homestead" can be exempt from the ravages of the court system, Florida real estate is an ideal reservoir for one's surplus money tokens. Obviously, they do not wish to leave their money tokens as mere accounting ticks in the books of the banks. They want something that they can hold on to, while the rest of us go down the drain. However, the sad joke is that the architects devote their efforts toward producing status symbols, not machines for living, at the least cost to the owner. More often than not, such mansions are grotesque exercises in excess, waste, and offer little protection from the ravages of nature.

The lesson is not that we should all construct investment housing, but that the "smart money" is not keeping it in the speculative stock market (about to implode) nor in banks (also about to implode). The savvy predators are preparing for a "shift". And when that "shift" hits the proverbial fan, you would rather not be injured.

Frankly, using the analogy of the asteroid strike of 65 million years ago, being the "little mammal" underground, and out of sight, was more conducive to survival, than being the biggest, baddest, boldest creature on the top of the food chain.

Ultimately, you will have to find an individual solution while "swimming with sharks" in the marketplace. But whatever you choose, avoid entanglements with usury at all costs. For such entanglements will make you the dinner menu for the sharks of usury.

Florida voting rolls contain dead people, duplicates, ineligible felons

South Florida Sun-Sentinel

Florida voting rolls contain dead people, duplicates, ineligible felons

Multiple registrations. Dead people. A growing number of felons. A Sun Sentinel investigation finds more problems with our voting rolls.

By Peter Franceschina, Sally Kestin, John Maines, Megan O'Matz and Dana Williams

October 29, 2008

Mattie Lee Blitch has been dead 23 years but she's still registered to vote in Palm Beach County.

Recent college graduate Brett Ackerman is registered three times in two counties.

And convicted felon Joseph Muro just signed up to vote — from a state mental institution for the criminally insane.

With balloting well under way in the general election, the Sun Sentinel found more than 65,000 ineligible and duplicate voters on Florida's registration rolls.

That includes at least 600 dead people, 32,000 voters registered more than once and a growing number of convicted felons — now more than 33,000 — who by law should not be allowed to cast ballots.

Political analysts say the potential for widespread fraud in the names of dead or duplicate voters is low, although dead voters did play a role in the 1997 Miami mayor's race. Ineligible felons, however, could influence a close election in a state that decided the 2000 presidential race by 537 votes.

Florida is not alone with its sloppy registrations, despite a federal law requiring states to keep accurate voter rolls. The Help America Vote Act required states to develop voter registration databases "largely in response to Florida in 2000 because, really, a good registration roll is the basis of a good election," said Dan Seligson, editor of electionline .org, operated by the nonpartisan Pew Center on the States.

Florida has spent more than $22 million on its voter database, launched in 2006. The state Division of Elections is responsible for identifying duplicate and ineligible voters, and the counties are supposed to remove them. Elections officials at both levels acknowledge problems but blame each other.

They say massive voter-registration drives in a historic election have left little time to clean up the rolls. But the Sun Sentinel found officials make scant headway even in non-election lulls, with many ineligible voters remaining on the rolls for years.

Counties also handle removals in vastly different ways, with some purging thousands of voters each year and others removing only a few, records show.

"I think Florida has always presented, or at least since 2000, an environment that is ripe for lawsuits, and this certainly doesn't do anything to diminish that," Seligson said.

Felon voter surge
In the final five weeks before voter registration closed Oct. 6, Florida added more than 2,600 ineligible felons to the rolls.

That's on top of the more than 30,700 the Sun Sentinel previously identified as of the end of August.

In Florida, felons can vote only after their rights have been restored through clemency. The newspaper found the state checks felons' criminal histories and clemency status only after they register and had a backlog of 108,000 still to be reviewed.

At the Florida Civil Commitment Center in Arcadia, a psychiatric lockup for pedophiles and rapists, seven men registered in 2004 and remain on the voter rolls.

"We have 100 percent convicted felons who are also sex offenders, so nobody should be eligible," said Timothy Budz, center administrator.

Among the recently registered ineligible felons are Joseph Muro and another patient at Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee, home to people found mentally incompetent to stand trial or not guilty by reason of insanity.

Another man signed up three days after being released from prison in Palm Beach County.

One new felon voter listed a West Palm Beach Catholic charity for the homeless as his address. Among the crimes on his record: voter fraud.

Long dead
Mary Agnes Belden was surprised to learn her mother, Mattie Lee Blitch, is still registered to vote in Florida. The elementary school teacher always was an avid voter — before her death in Jacksonville in April 1985.

"I don't know why she would be [still registered] after all this time," said Belden, of Buford, Ga.

The state identifies dead voters through death certificates filed in Florida but has missed hundreds, often because they died in other states.

Two Broward County voters are still on the rolls eight years after they died, one while on vacation in Colorado and another in a California nursing home.

Some elections supervisors, including Mark Andersen of Bay County in the Panhandle, wait for official word from the state before removing a dead voter, even in the face of overwhelming evidence. "I could be standing at someone's funeral, and I am not going to come in and remove somebody," he said.

Double trouble

Brett Ackerman, 22, moved and changed his party affiliation after he first registered to vote in 2004. Instead of updating his record, elections officials issued him three registrations, two in Boynton Beach and the other in Gainesville, where he attended the University of Florida.

"If people can have multiple voting addresses, they can abuse the system," said Ackerman, who now lives in New York. "That is just wrong on so many levels."

A Barack Obama supporter, Ackerman said he plans to return to Florida and cast a ballot. "Just one vote, though," he said.

Duplicates are supposed to be weeded out on the front end when voters change their registrations. But thousands slip through as elections workers make data entry errors or don't check for previous records.

"It's sloppily done, and it's done in haste," said Pat Hollarn, elections supervisor in Okaloosa County in the Panhandle.

Among the duplicates are thousands of mostly women voters with two registrations at the same address under different last names. Elections supervisors say they likely married or divorced.

The state is unlikely to catch those duplicates; it looks only for voters with the same last name.

An untold number of Florida's 1.8 million non-citizens are on the voting rolls. Non-citizens are not permitted to vote, but Florida has no way of checking citizenship.

Florida "does not have access to any federal database, if any exists, with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for the Department of Homeland Security," said Jennifer Krell Davis, spokeswoman for the state Elections Division.

Local election officials can and do remove non-citizens upon receiving "information from whatever reliable source," Krell Davis said.

But the numbers vary widely from county to county.

Broward has taken off 158 since 2006; Palm Beach County only 13.

In Miami-Dade County, where more than 623,000 people are not U.S. citizens, local elections officials removed 97 during that two-year period.

Hillsborough County, with half a million fewer non-citizens, removed nearly three times as many: 290.

Fraud risk

How much of a role Florida's problematic registrations will play in the election remains to be seen. Once non-citizens and ineligible felons are added to the rolls, elections officials have no way of preventing them from voting.

Casting a ballot in the name of a dead person would be more difficult. Such a voter would have to present a photo ID with the name of the deceased and a signature that matches the registration record.

It is possible for duplicate registrants to cast more than one ballot using different registrations, and poll workers have no way of catching them.

"I have my doubts that there will be any attempt to misuse the mistakes," said Roy Saltman, of Columbia, Md., an elections consultant and author on voting technology. "Somebody would have to deliberately want to."

Sally Kestin can be reached at or 954-356-4510.

Chuck in another big debate!

Dear Baldwin supporters,

We have more exciting news to share!  Chuck is going to be in another debate, tomorrow, October 30, at the City Club of Cleveland, Ohio.  He'll be joined by fellow candidates Bob Barr, Cynthia McKinney, and Ralph Nader in this debate that will focus primarily on the economy.  Chuck has, of course, spoken out against the federal government’s recent so-called “bailouts” in contrast to Senators Obama and McCain who support what he calls “a disastrous scheme against the American taxpayer.”

This debate will be moderated by Dan Moulthrop of Cleveland’s PBS radio and television stations, will be streamed live by ideastream starting at 4:30 PM Eastern and 1:30 Pacific times.

C-Span will tape the debate for broadcast later that night.  Look up the C-Span schedule for your area and be sure to watch it!

In the meantime, forward this video of Chuck speaking about the bailout to everyone you can.  Let them know that there is a candidate who realizes that there should be No Amnesty for Wall Street, as Chuck called it in his article:

The only way to fix this economic mess that the international bankers have created is to return America to sound money principles, as prescribed in the U.S. Constitution. This means dismantling the Federal Reserve and the Internal Revenue Service, overturning the 16th Amendment and the personal income tax, and returning the American monetary system to hard assets: gold and silver. Anything short of this will only delay and worsen the inevitable collapse that has already begun.

As the campaign is winding down and election day draws ever closer, we're so grateful for all of your encouragement, support, and help given to Chuck and his campaign.  Please keep up the spirit and enthusiasm!  Keep emailing friends, making phone calls to acquaintances, posting about Chuck or including in your post: let everyone know about the real option that Chuck Baldwin presents for Americans this year!  Also, consider a donation to the campaign right now, in these last days to allow us to finish strong.  Some of you have helped us by getting the word out to people, some of you have written encouraging emails to us at the campaign, and some of you have donated.  We need everyone to be able to do all three of those parts!  Please donate now to the campaign.  If you're online tomorrow afternoon, do watch the debate through ideastream.  Otherwise, check for your C-Span schedule and catch it on TV tomorrow night.
